This Chinese New Year, Lee Tung Avenue will welcome the season with the “Lanterns and Blossoms Celebrate Year of the Horse” campaign.
From 29 January to 15 March 2026, the entire Lee Tung Avenue is infused with auspicious energy through the awe-inspiring “sea of lanterns” – over 800 traditional Chinese lanterns in gold and red dangling above the tree-lined avenue – and a peach blossom garden at the open-air Central Piazza. The cheerful installations will be complemented by numerous programmes, including a new red envelopes design for patrons to redeem, exuberant lion dance performances, giveaways of handwritten fai chun, and a vibrant Chinese New Year market, sharing abundant festivities with locals and tourists alike.
Over 800 Lanterns Light Up Tree-Lined Avenue While Peach Blossoms Draw Good Luck to Central Piazza
To uphold the traditions of both Chinese New Year and Lee Tung Avenue, more than 800 iconic Chinese lanterns will be installed to form a shimmering sea of lights, illuminating the 200-metre tree-lined avenue. Bright red and gold – the most auspicious colours in Chinese culture, symbolising luck and wealth respectively – have been chosen as the colour palette of the “sea of lanterns” to wish the public good fortune. Meanwhile, 12 flourishing pink peach blossom trees, each towering at nearly 3.5 metres, will transform the Central Piazza into a feng shui courtyard, symbolising romantic success and harmony in all relationships. The auspicious courtyard, in addition to providing a sweet photo spot for lovers during the Lantern Festival and Valentine’s Day, will spread blessings and joy to all this Chinese New Year.
Exquisite Red Envelopes Featuring Auspicious Blossom and Lantern Motifs
Red envelopes are an important part of the Chinese New Year tradition. This year, Lee Tung Avenue has created a brand-new red envelope design, crafted with delicate cut-out detailing to finely trace auspicious motifs of blooming flowers and lanterns. Gold foil stamping adorns the outer layer to add a touch of opulent sparkle, while the interior is lined with holographic paper, creating rich layers that exude refined elegance. Echoing the festive installations at Lee Tung Avenue, the red envelope design conveys beautiful wishes of prosperity and blessings.
From today to 28 February 2026, Lee Tung Avenue members can redeem one set (eight envelopes) of these limited-edition red envelopes with 1,000 loyalty points, sharing heartfelt wishes with family and friends in style. Limited stocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Celebratory Activities Galore and Seasonal Spending Rewards
During the campaign period, Lee Tung Avenue will be organising different Chinese New Year-themed events to drum up the festivities, including the popular “Dragon & Lion Dance Spectacular”, lion dance performances and the “WeekCommune” Chinese New Year market. Furthermore, fai chun written by a calligrapher on the spot and traditional Chinese New Year snacks will be distributed, while shoppers and diners will be spoiled with attractive spending rewards.
More information will be announced on Lee Tung Avenue’s official website and social media channels. Stay tuned!
